Timber Wolf Information Network will hold two 2-day Wolf Ecology Workshops at the Department of Natural Resources’ Sandhill Outdoor Skills Center near Babcock, WI.
2014 Workshop Dates Coming Soon!
Each Workshop starts 9:00am Saturday and runs through 12:00 Noon Sunday.
The fee is $90.00 and includes instruction, Saturday field trip into wolf territory. Saturday supper, dorm room lodging Saturday night*, and Sunday breakfast.
Participants should:
send a check made out to TWIN to:

Outdoor Skills Center
Specify Workshop Date and number of participants
Participants must bring:
- Saturday lunch and refreshments (there are NO cafés nearby!)
- Sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries (accommodations are nice!)
- Clothing suitable for indoors and outdoors. Remember – Field trip includes extended time in cold and snow so prepare by bringing warm, layered clothing, and insulated water-resistant boots
- Snowshoes (if you have them). DNR will provide snowshoes for guests not bringing theirs.
* Participants may request lodging on Friday evening prior to the workshop for an additional fee of $20 per person. You must supply a check made out to DNR, and include a note specifying the number of guests to use lodging Friday night.

I am interested in attending any wolf ecology workshops you might have available this year (2013). I am not sure if you do anything when the snow is not present, but thought I would ask. I would like to volunteer if possible for any jobs pertaining to the research of wolves, if that is also something your organization offers. We have recently relocated to the Madison area from New Hampshire, and I would consider it an honor to help in any way possible. I am a professional dog trainer by trade, so my availability is flexible.
