French Organization Asks For Your Help


Wolves came to France naturally from the Abruzzes Mountains of Italy. As many as a dozen wolves have called the Mercantour National Park in Alpes-Maritimes, France, their home since November 1992.

Since the Bern Convention in 1990, European wildlife, especially endangered and vulnerable species, are protected. Two wolves were killed in Mercantour National Park in 1995 and ASPAS, Association pour la Protection des Animaux Sauvages, is concerned about the protection of the wolf.

ASPAS has been in existence for 15 years working for the protection of wildlife and the environment. They are a non-profit organization of 46,000 members. In recognition of their educative action, ASPAS has received an award from the Fondation de France. If you would like more information about their organization, write to:
