MI UP: Wolves topic at Bay

IRON MOUNTAIN — Brian Roell, DNR wildlife biologist, will discuss the biology of wolves on Wednesday, Jan.18, at 5:30 p.m. in the Fornetti Hall at Bay College West here.

Roell will cover the history of wolves in Michigan along with a discussion of the pending delisting of wolves from the endangered species list.

He is a wildlife biologist for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources where he specializes in wolves. He received his B.S. degree from Northern Michigan University and his M.S. degree from the University of Northern Colorado.

His interests include furbearer and moose ecology and human–wildlife conflicts.
