MN: Lake Maria S.P. program on wolves

Lake Maria State Park hosts a program on wolves at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 4, at the Lake Maria Trail Center.

We welcome a guest speaker from the International Wolf Center in Ely. The engaging program will help everyone better understand the complicated issues surrounding wolves. Wolf biology, behavior, predator/prey relationships, mythology and fear of wolves, challenges wildlife face, and the importance of wildland habitat will all be touched on in this one-hour presentation.

The program is free, but there is a $5 daily vehicle permit fee for those without an annual permit. Lake Maria State Park is located approximately seven miles northwest of Monticello, five miles north of Maple Lake and 10 miles northeast of Annandale on Wright County Highway 111. For more information about directions and activities, call the park at (763) 878-2325.
