The Eastern Timber Wolf Recovery Plan, which addresses Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula, has identified public education as an important aspect of wolf recovery; education for living with wolves beyond recovery is even more important.

Timber Wolf Information Network was founded as a nonprofit organization in 1989. In 2007 TWIN became the recipient of an Honor Award from the Department of the Interior for its efforts in support of Wolf Recovery. The primary goal of the organization is education directed to conservation and management of the timber wolf in the wild. Our Adopt-A-Wolf program is a symbolic adoption which directly supports TWIN’s mission to increase public awareness and acceptance of the wolf in its natural habitat and its ecological role in the environment.

Adopt-A-Wolf packages make great gifts for Birthdays, Holidays, Memorials, or Thank You’s and your money goes to a great cause; changing attitudes about wolves and wolf awareness. We now offer two different Adopt-A-Pack Packages. Each one has varying materials written for two levels: elementary (K-6) and adult (7th grade +).
