WA: Wolf meeting location changed

The Chronicle

OLYMPIA – The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission has changed the location of a special meeting on the proposed Wolf Conservation and Management Plan.
The Oct. 6 meeting will be in the first floor auditorium of the General Administration Building, 210 11th Ave. S.W., Olympia, instead of the Natural Resource Building. It starts at 9 a.m.
The state Department of Fish and Wildlife has proposed the plan to guide management efforts as wolves are re-established in the state.
“We decided we might need a larger meeting space to accommodate the number of people who have expressed interest in this issue,” commission Chairwoman Miranda Wecker said.
Public comments will be accepted in the afternoon.
The recommended plan is available online at http://wdfw.wa.gov/conservation/gray_wolf/.
The commission is expected to take action on the plan in December.
