WOLVES / TT
A number of wolf attacks have occurred in the Glimmen region in Dalarna in the past month. Now, the County Board recommends livestock owners to take in their animals at night.
The latest attack occurred on Sunday morning, when ten sheep were severely wounded and needed to be destroyed.
“The wolves bite them in the muzzles and throat. Two of the sheep were missing,” says Lotta Larsson, Head of Communications at the county board.
The day before 25 sheep were injured, while ten went missing.
In areas situated between the Insjö(a lake) and Sågmyra it is estimated that there are about 6-8 wolves.
