A local resident needs the community’s help caring for her wolf, who caught a mystery illness.
Her name is C.C. Cinnamon. She’s a six-year-old Timber Wolf, an endangered breed.
Her owner, Sparkles Totten, said she got C.C. from a sanctuary and has a permit for her to be an ambassador animal, in partnership with California’s Fish and Wildlife. C.C. brings awareness to the community about wolves.
But Totten said C.C. caught a disease, possibly a parasite, and veterinarians have not been able to cure her for weeks.
“She had 15 seizures and even the doctor said in her 45 years she had never seen one that bad,” said Totten. “It really scared her.”
Totten said she needs the community’s help for C.C.’s mounting veterinarian bills.
