KUSA – An Estes Park resident took a picture of a what may be a wolf.
The photo was taken by an Estes Park resident who was hikingclose to the Long Peak trail at the Rocky Mountain National Park.
If the animal in the photo is a wolf, it would be the first one in the park since wolves were wiped out in the 30s.
An animal behaviorist says it is tough to know for certain if it is a wolf or not.
One thing wildlife officials do know is, it is not a matter of if wolves will migrate into Colorado but more a question of when.
There have been three sightings of suspected wolves in Colorado over the past eight years.
