DK: At least three male wolves in Jutland

Roughly translated by TWIN Observer

COPENHAGEN / TT RITZAU

At least three different wolves have wandered around in Jutland in recent months as shown DNA analysis from the Natural History Museum in Aarhus and Aarhus University. The wolves have been living in the forested area in central Jutland, south of Silkeborg and Herning. All three are males so there is nothing to suggest that Denmark gets a wolf pack for years.

“But it is only a matter of time before it will happen,” says researcher Lise Lott Wesley Andersen.

It is confirmed that one of the wolves came from Germany, while the other two believed to be descended from Polish wolves.

In March, a sheep farmer from Herning had their sheep destroyed by wolves.
