MO: IT WAS A WOLF

Luke Turnbough Reporting

(Wayne County) It WAS a wolf that was shot by a landowner while hunting in Wayne County back in November.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says d.n.a. testing has confirned it.

The wolf was an 80 pound, 2-year-old female and had no tracking tag or chip.

The Missouri Department of Conservation says there is no breeding population of wolves in the state.

Coyotes seldom reach 30 pounds but coyotes are much larger.

They are similar in appearance.
