Montana Fish Wildlife And Parks

According to the officials of Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, 15 wolves were killed in a time span of just 4 days between May 17 to MAY 21 and permission of killing at least 18 more had been granted by the state officials. The wolves were killed in the following areas of west of Missoula, north of Missoula, in the east fork of the Bitterroot, north of Wisdom, north of Helmville, and north of Wolf Creek.

Liz Bradley is wolf management specialist and she says that state is taking a very severe action against these wolves this year that have been here since year 2000. The reports say that this year, a total of 44 wolves have already been killed by the federal agents while 20 others were killed by the cars, property owners and through other unknown causes. So what are the reasons behind these actions and why the authorities themselves are encouraging shooters to kill wolves? The main reason is that these wolves are not living here for years. It has been only 10 years that these wolves came here from mountains and they started killing livestock of area residents and so, furious people started killing them without any hesitation. All the killing wolves belonged to Canis Lupus specie.

The people like Liz Bradley are against this move and they think state should not handle this matter like that. Last year, nearly 145 wolves were sentenced to death by area residents under charges of killing their pets and livestock. The Montana Park officials are too against this wild action.
