Montana FWP asks for help in tracking wolves

Officials with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks are asking for the public’s help in locating and tracking wolves.

If anyone sees any sign of wolf activity they are asked to report it to the agency.

FWP. must prepare annual reports to document the status of the wolf population in Montana.

Agency officials say this information will help them manage the species.

They remind the public that gray wolves are on average 2.5 feet tall and 5 to 6 feet feet long, and weigh between 70 and 120 pounds and have a broad snout and round ears.

You can report wolf information online or at a regional office.
