Montana hunters asked to report signs of Wolves

Jake Jones – National Hunting Examiner

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks requests that hunters report any sightings or signs of wolves. A gray wolf is, on average 2.5 feet tall; 5-6 feet long; 70-120 pounds with a broad snout, round ears and fur ranging from gray, black or tan to white.

Hunters who provide information help in the management of wolves in Montana.

Hunters and others can enter reports of wolf sightings online at fwp.mt.gov . Click on Montana Wolves under the Fish & Wildlife heading, or call the nearest FWP regional or state office.

To report a dead wolf or possible illegal activity, contact the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at 307-261-6365, or call 1-800-TIP-MONT.
