The appeals court in Stockholm does not give the EPA’s appeal of its appeal of the county court’s earlier decision to temporarily stop (inhibit) the plans for licensed hunting of wolves in February, the newspaper Svensk Jakt said on its website.
Thus, there is still a stop for licensed hunting of 30 wolves in Värmland, Örebro and Dalarna from February 1 to 15.
The EPA may appeal the Administrative Court’s decision to the Supreme Administrative Court, but yet it is unclear whether it should be done.
Gunilla Skotnicka-Ewing, Head of Section, Environmental Protection Agency, said that the matter must first be discussed further internally. She notes that time is running out but further consideration is needed, she says.
