SE: HEDMARK, NO: Two new wolf litters born in Norway

Roughly translated by TWIN Observer

A new report from Hedmark University shows that there are between 40 and 44 wolves in Norway. The wolves in eight counties are the most wolves, between 33 and 35, in Hedmark, the neighboring province of Värmland.

The report also shows that last year two wolves litters were born. The Norwegian Storting’s goal is to have three wolves litters born in all of Norway each year. The remaining seven to nine wolves are in Sor-Trondelag, Oppland, Akershus, Buskerud, Telemark, Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder. The surveying of the Norwegian wolves will continue until February 28, reports NRK Hedmark.
