It was a wolf that killed several sheep on a farm in the neighborhood of Hjärtum just on the municipal boundary between Trollhättan and Lilla Edet in the morning. The county administrative surveyor Bertil Andersson made this report.
“I am a hundred percent certain it was a wolf,” says Bertil Andersson, when P4 West gets a hold of him during his inspection of the dead sheep.
A total of seven sheep are dead . Several of them were killed by wolves while others had to be killed because of their injuries.
“You saw the wolf first, and then they went around and checked in the pasture and then they found the sheep” says Bertil Andersson.
He says it was previously a wolf territory in the neighborhood of Hjärtum. But recently there have been few observations.
“The entire last year there have been very few sightings of wolves in this area, that I know,” says Bertil Andersson.
Do you think it is a lone wolf?
“I see no indication that it should have been more than a wolf here in the pasture.”
