Nine sheep have been destroyed by a wolf on a farm outside East Sallerup near Horby in Skåne. It was when the sheep owner checked to his animals on Sunday morning that he discovered what had happened.
“The sheep have been seriously bitten in the neck and throat which is typical of a wolf attack. Then the wolf has eaten the breast fat of the sheep,” says Bertil Nilsson, predator control officer of the provincial government.
Seven of the sheep were found dead and two were so badly mutilated that they were destroyed.
