The two organizations appealing the decision on the hunting of wolves have not shown that they are entitled to it. This assessment is made by the Appeals Court in Sundsvall in two cases about different hunting decisions.
One of the organizations is the Wolf Association, which appealed the county administrative boards’ decisions on licensed hunting of a total of 24 wolves in four counties after the New Year. The Appeals Court now requires that the Wolf Association prove its competence to appeal.
At the same time it rejects the appeal that both the Wolf Association and Nordulv makes in a case concerning preventive hunting of a wolf that attacked sheep at Gagnef in Dalarna. The Administrative Court rejected the county administrative board’s hunting decision on appeal. But the the Appeals Court annuls the judgment and considers that the organizations did not have the right to appeal.
According to the appeal, none of the organizations have been able to prove that they have at least 100 members or otherwise support among the public.
