The wolf that was photographed in the Stora Beddinge east of Trelleborg comes from a territory in Skultuna outside Västerås. It shows DNA analysis by droppings. Which sex the wolf has gave the analysis no answer.
The wolf was photographed on December 12. The County Administrative Board’s staff followed the tracks in the snow for miles and managed to finally secure the droppings of the animal.
DNA test shows that the wolf originated from a wolf pair with a territory in Skultuna in Västmanland. The sample matches no earlier results in the database of known wolves.
“This means that there is an individual who has not been identified before,” says Grimsö Research Station in its analysis.
