Eleven sheep were killed during the night on Thursday in Kville in central Bohuslän by a wolf, writes Bohusläningen online.
That there is a wolf who had been on the move is confirmed by Nelly Grönberg, predator inspector of the provincial government in Västra Götaland.
The sheep were staying in an enclosure that is surrounded by fences on three sides but no protection against an adjacent lake. The suspicion now is that the wolf swum in and attacked and killed the sheep.
In recent weeks, the provincial government received reports that a wolf has moved into the area of Kville and Grebbestad.
