The wolf’s return to Central Sweden the last 20 years does not seem to have affected the prey animal behavior. According to researchers, studies indicate that the risk of a moose being killed by wolf is not connected to the moose population experiencing wolves.
“It may be a very long time before we will see a change in behavior. Perhaps the change may never come,” says wolf researcher Håkan Sand.
