The EPA says yes to hunting of wolves in southeast Skåne, where 23 sheep have been killed during August. After four wolf attacks in less than two weeks the Environmental Protection Agency considers that culling is the only solution.

The decision to cull apply during the period from 21 August to 11 September.
Last week, after two wolf attacks, the provincial government was advised against hunting since wolves were found to be genetically valuable. But a third attack on August 10 the provincial government considered a hunt for the wolf is warranted to prevent further attacks.
The EPA has received nine applications for culling.
