Utah Wolf Sightings Turn Out to be Coyotes
Some amatuer footage shot in the mountains East of Ogden shows what looks a little like a pair of wolves. But experts say it is hard to determine what they really are.
Roy Durham was out sightseeing in Ogden Canyon last Wednesday when he happened to catch two wolf-like animals on tape.
Utah wolves were exterminated about seventy years ago. If Durham’s video really is of wolves, his would be only the second confirmed sighting since then.
Only a few seconds of video was captured and state experts were asked to take a look.

The Wildlife Division is anxious for wolf sighting information in Utah before they begin crafting a statewide wolf policy next week.
