WA: Wolf meeting Friday in Olympia — or watch it here

Posted by John B. Saul

A reminder that the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission is meeting Friday and will get an update in the afternoon on the state’s wolf management plan, including the decision to kill all the wolves in the Wedge Pack in Stevens County.

You can watch the TVW live video of that portion of the meeting here starting at 1 p.m.

Or, you can attend the meeting and sign up to comment at the Columbia Room in the state Capitol Building.

You may have seen the comment from “wolfladysue” on an earlier post here that cattle ranchers outnumbered wolf supporters at a recent California Department of Fish and Game meeting in Sacramento. She said cattle ranchers flew in “from all over to support the wolf slaughter.”

Fish and Wildlife officials in Olympia say they are not aware of organized efforts to pack the meeting Friday afternoon, but they expect a big crowd and moved the meeting to a bigger room to accommodate it.

Look for the TVW feed here starting at 12:45 p.m.Friday
