Wisconsin wildlife officials are reminding would-be wolf trackers to take a training course.
The Department of Natural Resources uses volunteers each winter to track and monitor wolves. Volunteers must complete a wolf ecology course and a tracking course. The classes cover the history of wolves in Wisconsin, wolf biology, how the DNR monitors the population and identifying carnivore tracks.
