Wisconsin wildlife officials offer weekend with wolves

MANITOWISH WATERS, Wis. — State wildlife officials are offering people a chance to get smart about wolves.
The Department of Natural Resources and the Timber Wolf Alliance plan to offer a workshop entitled “Weekend with Wolves” from Aug. 5 through Aug. 7 at the North Lakeland Discovery Center in Manitowish Waters.
Participants will survey pack territories and howls as well as learn how to track the creatures.
The workshop will run $100 for students, $125 for Timber Wolf Alliance or North Lakeland Discovery Center members and $140 for nonmembers. The fees include meals and a two-night cabin stay.
