ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife have reached an agreement about the reintroduction of the Mexican grey wolf.
The state had tried to block any more animals from being released until the feds had a clear plan.
Now, the two have announced they will be working together to determine new releases.
The ultimate goal is to build the population up so that the wolf can be de-listed
There is also ongoing concerns from ranchers about the wolves killing livestock.
